Solution: The Creative Centre was designed to bring a new beat to the heart of York St John University’s Lord Mayor’s Walk Campus. Its bold dynamic form injects life into forgotten spaces, elegantly and powerfully connecting them and creating an iconic, vibrant new centre for an exceptional student experience. Agile and responsive – modular construction is core to the vision of the Creative Centre equipping it with unparalleled abilities to adapt and efficiently responds to the ever evolving needs of YSJU and the world.
External treatment - timber cladding slopes upwards towards this corner to provide more natural light into the atrium space and to draw people towards this point, revealing the hub of activity within.
