Cheltenham Terrace, London
A bold contemporary solution
Description: This project is a bespoke residential refurbishment off of the King’s Road within a typical 1930s apartment building. The project required a complete re-build of all the internal walls, ceilings, floors and services to ensure acoustic isolation and integration of the services. The relatively low ceiling heights determined that recessed lighting was not an option and therefore a simple ‘entablature’ light-shelf around the rooms was employed for concealing blinds, speakers, indirect lighting and general services for a simple unfussy vocabulary suitable for the domestic nature of this project
