Job Title: Experienced Architectural Technologist/Technician
We have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Architectural Technologist/Technician or technically minded architect to join a pioneering architectural Practice in the centre of York.
We are currently seeking a very competent detail-oriented Architectural Technologist/Technician with exceptional AutoCAD & Revit skills to join our growing team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on and contribute to the successful completion of several high-profile residential, mixed-use commercial projects and some other very interesting innovative schemes.
Responsibilities:
The new team member needs to be a highly driven and self-motivated individual with a sharp eye for detail to take charge and lead projects from the completion of RIBA stage 2 Concept Design to deliver planning packages and beyond to technical design. Responsibilities include:
Utilise your excellent knowledge of the planning process to prepare planning drawings and applications.
Demonstrate in-depth technical expertise and strong design skills to produce clear detailed drawings for tender packages, building compliance, and construction.
Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and high-quality deliverables.
Employ your attention to detail to create precise architectural drawings, beautifully detailed, that meet regulatory requirements and project specifications.
Stay updated with industry standards and best practices in architectural design and construction.
Deliver some projects in full BIM using Revit.
Currently we have 4 interesting residential projects that we need to prepare the RIBA stage 4 technical design packages for and the deliver on site in 2024. The candidate will be instrumental to delivering these projects.
Requirements:
The candidate needs to be experienced, competent and technically minded, as well as forward thinking, practical and able to bring new efficiency to our processes.
Proficiency in AutoCAD & Revit with exceptional skills in creating detailed architectural drawings.
Set up CAD standards and new systems for the practice to make us more efficient as a team.
Strong understanding of the planning process and experience in preparing planning drawings, DAS and applications.
In-depth technical knowledge and expertise in producing detailed drawings for tender packages, building compliance & UK Building Standards, and construction.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to ensure accuracy in all deliverables.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a team environment.
Relevant qualifications and/or professional certifications in Architectural Technology or a related field.
Moving office. We will be moving to a new office in a York city Centre location close to the train station in June 2024, and partnering with a leading main contractor in York. Whilst we will remain independent companies, our offices will be situated next to each other, and we will be working on several project together with the objective to streamline the delivery of all future projects.

Salary between £28,000/yr - £34,000/yr depending on experience & expertise
